Jim McIsaac

Jim worked in the commercial fishery for over 20 years before coming to the foundation. His marine experience and passion for the coast drives his work with the foundation. Jim has been involved in many aspects of the foundations work including pollution prevention, habitat protection and sustainability of fisheries. He led the development of our OceanSmart program, initiated our backyard action program, works inside regional and national pollution prevention processes, and is involved in integrated marine management at multiple scales.


Des Nobels

North Coast Campaign Manager

Des sits on the Skeena-Queen Charlotte Regional District. He is a longtime commercial fisherman and lives on Digby Island. Des is involved in North Coast marine planning, valuation of fisheries and in a project documenting traditional fishing knowledge s in the B.C. commercial fishing fleet. Des has been active on North Coast fishing and habitat issues and has contributed to a wide range of advisory committees on behalf of North Coast fishermen.


Luanne Roth

North Coast Energy Campaigner

Luanne has been active on a wide range of environmental issues on the North Coast. She is currently working on impacts to the Skeena Estuary and North Coast watersheds from proposed energy development projects, particularly the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline, Oil by Rail to Prince Rupert  and the Petronas LNG project which would negatively impact Flora Bank.


     Kiera Vandeborne

Kiera is dedicated to exploring the relationship between resource development and local communities. She studied Environmental Governance at the University of Guelph, and has work experience in communications and community engagement. Kiera is currently working on strengthening connections between BC’s coastal communities and maintaining stewardship over coastal resources.


     Megan Eadie

      Megan has always been passionate about the environment and fell in love with the BC  coast when she moved here as a child. She has a B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from UBC where she tailored her education to focus on the interdisciplinary nature of environmental issues. She has previously worked in environmental education and youth engagement. At T Buck, Megan is working on driving innovation into the organization, making it more effective while staying true to our mission and values.
