Pollution Prevention

Up one level

Pollution is the largest single threat facing this planet. With over 5000 new man-made chemicals being created annually it is an ever-expanding problem; our current chemical free-for-all concentrates deadly toxins in our oceans, killing fish habitat and fisheries. A long-term plan would see all chemicals tested thoroughly before any open application.

Global Pollutants
Pollutants are moved around the planet on air and water currents, in vessels, in products and in species.
Pesticides
Fungicides, herbicides and insecticides are designed to kill living species.
Sewage Pollution
Sewage Pollution is one of the largest water pollution issues in Canada.
Household
Our homes can be a significant source of pollution.
Vessel
Vessels contribute only a small part of the pollutions affecting our waterways, however vessels frequent enclosed bays and other sensitive habitats making their impact significant.
