Letter to the editor

A letter to the editor is a very effective ways of getting your thoughts known .

If you are concerned about some issue affecting your local stream or you are worried about impacts on fish habitat, your voice matters! Letters to the editor of a daily newspaper or to your local community newspaper are widely read.

Letters to the editor should:

            • be short and to the point
            • named or titled appropriately
            • identify the article/letter you are responding to
            • Make your most important points first
            • Finish with your name and phone number
