Annual Report 2024/25
Highlights from the year include an ocean acidification monitoring program implemented with fish harvesters working as citizen scientists, continued advocacy for equitable fisheries policy through the Fisheries for Communities campaign, expanding education work through the Giving Voice speaker program, and community engagement efforts at seafood festivals across the coast. This year we also renewed our strategic plan for the organization, solidifying our goals for the future.

CN Skeena Corridor Spray
In autumn 2017 a massive pesticide application along the 150 km CN Skeena rail corridor resulted in numerous and extensive apparent violations threatening key habitat for spawning salmon. TBuck launched a campaign in response to ensure the law was appropriately enforced following CN’s dangerous pesticide application.
We are pleased that following a long thorough investigation CN Rail was fined $100,000 for failing to get authorization to spray in May 2021, and on September

The Thriving Coastal Communities Initiative Reports
We initiated the Thriving Coastal Communities Initiative with Dr. Nathan Bennett to identify areas where we could support coastal communities as they adapt to these changes. This report covers one of the project’s early planning meetings we convened with 24 experts and through-leaders to map out areas for further development.
